Boston’s South End is a cultural hub that grows more trendy by the day. Like with any up-and-coming neighborhood, this area has acquired quite a few notable cafes over the years. Here are five of our favorite coffee shops in Boston’s South End.
RENDER
This South End spot has made it onto several “best coffee shop” lists, and is widely considered to be among the top 100 coffee shops in the United States. There’s a lovely atrium in the back of the coffee shop that fills the space with natural light, as well as a deck with outdoor seating for the warmer months. Don’t miss the signature pour over and the lattes made with housemade syrups.

It’s also only a five-minute walk from SoWa, the award-winning Boston market that showcases the best of the area’s food and drink, art, music, and other vendors.

Once you’ve had one of the famous sticky buns, you’ll understand what all the hype is about. The shop’s delicious coffee comes from Fazenda roasters, and is best enjoyed with a cookie.
